Mindease- Mental Health App (Coursework)
Your space to pause, reflect, and reset
This application was developed as part of my Year 3 coursework. It is a mental health support app designed to help users reflect on and track how they are feeling each day. Users can input their mood, which updates a personal wellbeing score that they can monitor over time. The app includes a score system with a dedicated tracker, where users receive positive encouragement when they reach high scores and supportive messages when their score is low. It also features daily tasks to promote healthy habits, a score history section, and analytics to show progress over time. In addition, the app provides emergency support links for users who may need immediate help. A built-in chatbot offers friendly conversation and general support, while also detecting sensitive language. If harmful phrases are entered, such as expressions of self-harm, a pop-up is triggered encouraging the user to seek help. The overall aim of the app is to provide a safe, accessible, and supportive digital space that encourages users to actively engage with their mental wellbeing and take positive steps towards improving it.
